The site is hosted on a server rented from a professional hosting provider. Your data is not handed to any other platform, except for the cases named below.
Contact form
When you write to me, I store your name, your email address, the subject and your message, along with the date. This information is only used to reply to you: no mailing list, no resale, no marketing.
Comments
A comment stores the name you choose, published with the text, and your email, optional and never published, used only to reply to you privately. Comments may be reviewed before publication. Don’t write anything you wouldn’t want published.
Abuse protection
To limit spam, the site keeps a one-way fingerprint of your IP address when you submit something: the address cannot be recovered from it, and it is used for this protection only.
Visitor analytics
The site counts its visits with an in-house tool: no third-party service receives this data. It records the page viewed, the referring page, the device and browser type, and an anonymous identifier kept in your browser to count unique visitors. These statistics contain neither your name nor your IP address. Clearing this site’s data in your browser is enough to stop being recognized.
AI assistant
The assistant answers your questions using Gemini, a Google service, which receives the conversation text to produce the answer. I don’t store conversations. Google processes this text under its own rules (Gemini API terms, Google privacy policy). Don’t share personal information with it.
Cookies and local storage
The site uses no advertising or third-party analytics cookies. It only keeps your preferences (language, light or dark mode) and the anonymous analytics identifier in your browser.
Security and retention
Traffic to the site is encrypted (HTTPS) and access to data is restricted. Messages are kept for as long as we are in touch, comments for as long as they are published, and anonymous statistics to follow traffic over time.
Your rights
You can ask me to see, correct or delete the data about you, or object to its use, by writing to bendyservlus@gmail.com. I reply within thirty days. If you live in the European Union, you can also contact your country’s data protection authority.
